By Request: Food For Thought

The music industry is an ever-evolving creature, it has to feed the needs of billions of creatures and rake in their money (whether they know it or not.) With 'hip-hop' being the the mainstream genre, it is the prime stake for greed, corruption, and government interference. The government wants to control everything, remember? So where will the industry be in ten years? The same control and regiments for every band and act. TALENT has nothing to do with FAME. NOTHING, at least not in this era and not in the next ten years. It is your ability and willingness to be controlled and morphed into an image of yourself. That will be juiced, sugared, and sold as audio lemonade until you no longer can squeeze out the sweet stuff. Music will become an assembly line of plastic bands with plastic songs and superficial lines that make you turn your ears off so that you can't hear what you need to hear. In the coming years, DO NOT BECOME DEAF. I don't mean physically but mentally, stay aware and watch the comings and goings of music. Watch for signs and messages that the average listener would not pick up on. Watch for common mannerisms between different rappers and what they might mean. "Pop" will be the same bullshit in ten years as songs in the 80s were the same as now. We're not having an "80s revival". We're having the same shit produced over and over, but with a new generation of listeners. But that's just pop. Look past what you see everyday to find the real music.
