You tried to play me like a fool
Thinkin' that I wouldn't see it
But boy, I've seen men
And they know how to act
So I'm changing my tastes
From crumbs to caviar
Stepping up my game
From go fish to monopoly
And you just can't keep up
So you can fall behind
Watch me be loved right
And be driven out of your mind
When you see me on the street
Holding my head up high
Walkin' proud like a real woman should
Just go home and cry
Cry 'cos you lost a real woman
A woman with hips
Ready for love
And lips soft as rose petals red
Cry 'cos you lost a real woman
With my golden brown curls
And a laugh like bells
Just go home and cry
Cry 'cos you lost a real woman
[Author's Note: I haven't written poetry in a while, to be honest. It's nice to convert my feelings into something more abstract. Slightly more abstract.]
