Ophelia

Waves of loneliness
wash me clean of all emotion
laying here on sandy blankets of Fate
who left me here to die
with my ten arms stretched out around me

Fires burn a hole in your eye
as you turn away from me
shun me; drape me in black silk
in order to forget the guilt
leaving a porcelain doll in the ashes

Wind takes my screams
and wrenches them from the knoll upon which I stand
drags them down to Hell
to satify Lucifer's cravings
as you sit on the rocks and enjoy
the blood streaming through your fair hair

Only the Earth cries for me
trees bending flowing to touch my skin
naked, curled into the bark
The strokes of grass and covering of leaves
hide me from your wrath, your jealous eyes

And here I lay,
deep in sleep
waiting for the day
when I shake awake and blink in the sun
and spread my arms of glittering gold.
