You Know Me...But Do You Know Me?

Job: artist, student

Best sartorial advice from my parents: Cover your tum, bum, and then some. Less skin is sexier.

Style Icons: my great-grandmother, rockers in general

Describe your personal style: classic with glam flairs, I like to surprise people.

I build my daily look around: one piece, it could be shoes, a top, or a necklace

Personal style quirk: other people's clothes are my lifeblood

Favorite designers: Yves Saint Laurent, Halston, Jil Sander, Gucci, Herve Leger, Maison Martin Margiela

Most cherished item: probably my velvet jacket c. 1960's

I feel best wearing: slouchy wool pants and an American Apparel tee.

The first thing I look at in another's outfit: do they wear the outfit, or does the outfit wear them?

I always break this fashion rule: no white after Labor Day

I never break this fashion rule: no black and brown together

Never caught wearing: Abercrombie

Most underrated item in womenswear: scarves

Dress to impress who? myself, my great-grandmother (in heaven, heh)

Favorite stores: anything vintage, thrift shops, American Apparel, punk shops

My next must-have purchase: The New York Dolls by Bob Gruen

I skimp when buying: tees. buy 'em cheap, dress 'em up.

I splurge on: jackets and shoes

Guilty pleasures: panties, of course!

Perfume, skincare: my private scent (personally mixed for me), and Neutrogena for skin, mine is quite sensitive

Most stylish city: New York City, because of the diversity

Sports: um...walking?

Favorite fashion magazines: Paris Vogue, i-D, Numero

Favorite vacation spot: Puerto Rico

Favorite neighborhood eatery: hm...can't say I have one
